Chili Cheese Dog Tater Tot Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 cans of smoked Beanee Weanees
  • 1 big can of chili with beans
  • 1 small can of no beans chili
  • 1 package of Cheese Hot Dogs, sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese
  • Tater Tots
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, sliced green onions, chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Beanee Weanees and Chili Mixture:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the smoked Beanee Weanees, big can of chili with beans, and small can of no beans chili. Mix well to combine the flavors.
  3. Add the Cheese Hot Dogs:
    • Slice the cheese hot dogs into bite-sized pieces and add them to the chili mixture. Stir to distribute the hot dog pieces evenly throughout the mixture.
  4. Layer the Casserole:
    • Transfer the chili and hot dog mixture into a large baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Add Tater Tots:
    • Arrange a layer of tater tots on top of the chili and hot dog mixture. You can arrange them in neat rows or simply spread them out evenly to cover the entire surface.
  6. Top with Shredded Cheddar:
    • Generously sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots, covering them completely. The cheese will melt and become deliciously gooey as it bakes.
  7. Bake the Casserole:
    • Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden brown on top.
  8. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Optionally, you can garnish with sour cream, sliced green onions, or chopped fresh cilantro for extra flavor and freshness.
