We call this “Biscuit Bread, or pone bread.” What do you call it?
2 Cups Self Rising Flour
1 Cup of Buttermilk
1 Teaspoon of bacon grease.
I preheat my oven to 450. Once it’s preheated, I put the bacon grease in my cast iron skillet and stick it in the oven for 7 minutes, to get it good and hot. Mix together flour and buttermilk, and pour into your skillet. I bake mine for 17 minutes or until brown on top.
