Sausage and Cheese Breakfast Sandwiches
Ingredients:
- 8 sausage patties (you can use store-bought or homemade)
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or American work well)
- 4 English muffins, split
- Optional: ketchup, mustard, or hot sauce for serving
Instructions:
- Cook the sausage patties according to package instructions or your preferred method until they are fully cooked and slightly browned. Let them cool for a few minutes.
- Meanwhile, split the English muffins and lightly toast them. Let them cool slightly.
- Place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each English muffin.
- Once the sausage patties have cooled slightly, place one on top of each slice of cheese.
- Top each sandwich with the other half of the English muffin.
- Allow the sandwiches to cool completely before wrapping them individually in plastic wrap.
- Once wrapped, place the sandwiches in a freezer bag and store in the freezer.
To reheat:
- Remove the plastic wrap from the frozen sandwich.
- Place the sandwich on a microwave-safe plate and microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, or until heated through.
- Serve with your favorite condiments such as ketchup, mustard, or hot sauce.
