Sausage and Cheese Breakfast Sandwiches

Ingredients:

  • 8 sausage patties (you can use store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or American work well)
  • 4 English muffins, split
  • Optional: ketchup, mustard, or hot sauce for serving

Instructions:

  1. Cook the sausage patties according to package instructions or your preferred method until they are fully cooked and slightly browned. Let them cool for a few minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, split the English muffins and lightly toast them. Let them cool slightly.
  3. Place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each English muffin.
  4. Once the sausage patties have cooled slightly, place one on top of each slice of cheese.
  5. Top each sandwich with the other half of the English muffin.
  6. Allow the sandwiches to cool completely before wrapping them individually in plastic wrap.
  7. Once wrapped, place the sandwiches in a freezer bag and store in the freezer.

To reheat:

  1. Remove the plastic wrap from the frozen sandwich.
  2. Place the sandwich on a microwave-safe plate and microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, or until heated through.
  3. Serve with your favorite condiments such as ketchup, mustard, or hot sauce.
