Ingredients
8 slices frozen Texas toast garlic bread
1 lb lean ground beef
1 cup diced yellow onions
1 cup ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp light brown sugar
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
Preheat oven to the temperature stated in the directions on your store-bought garlic bread.
Place slices of garlic bread on a parchment-lined baking sheet and cook them according to the directions on the package.
Meanwhile, dump the ground beef into a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the diced onions to the skillet.
Crumble the ground beef well as it cooks.
Once the ground beef is fully cooked, drain the grease from the pan.
Add the ketchup, Worcestershire, brown sugar, garlic powder and onion powder to the skillet.
Stir well and simmer for a few minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the prepared garlic bread slices.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
Sprinkle the Italian seasoning over the cheese.
Place the baking sheet in the oven under the broiler until the cheese is melted and just starting to brown.
