Creamy Burrito Bake

  • 6 frozen bean & beef burritos
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (or 1 cup sour cream)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning (optional)
  • Cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend), as desired
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing
  • Foil

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare Creamy Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream (or sour cream), cream of chicken soup, and taco seasoning (if using). Mix until well combined.
  3. Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or oil. Spread a thin layer of the creamy mixture on the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Arrange Burritos: Place the frozen burritos on top of the creamy mixture in the baking dish.
  5. Pour Creamy Mixture: Pour the remaining creamy mixture over the burritos, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  6. Add Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the top of the burritos and creamy mixture.
  7. Cover and Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil, ensuring it’s tightly sealed. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the burritos are heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Once baked, remove the foil from the baking dish. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, or your favorite toppings if desired.

Enjoy your creamy burrito bake as a delicious and comforting meal!
