Deep Fried Stuffed Tacos
Ingredients:
- 1-1.5 lbs of ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken)
- 1 can Rotel, drained
- Provolone cheese slices
- 1 pack of shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- Pancho’s white queso dip
- 1 jar of picante salsa
- 1 pack of flour tortilla shells
- Flour and water mixture (for sealing edges)
- Oil for frying
- Optional toppings: sour cream, additional salsa, or your favorite taco toppings
Directions:
- Cook the Meat Mixture:
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet, adding minced garlic.
- Drain excess grease and return to the skillet.
- Stir in the drained Rotel and 1 cup of shredded Mexican blend cheese until melted.
- Prepare the Tortillas:
- Place a tortilla on a plate.
- Add a slice of Provolone cheese in the middle.
- Spoon a generous portion of the meat mixture onto the cheese.
- Drizzle Pancho’s white queso dip on top of the meat.
- Add a spoonful of picante salsa and a sprinkle of shredded cheese.
- Fold and Seal:
- Fold the tortilla in half, covering the filling.
- Use a flour and water mixture to seal the edges, ensuring the taco is closed.
- Deep Fry:
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-low heat.
- Carefully place the stuffed taco in the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Ensure the cheese inside the taco is melted and gooey.
- Serve:
- Remove the tacos from the oil and let them drain on a paper towel.
- Serve hot with optional sides like sour cream or additional salsa.
- You can also customize with your favorite taco toppings.
