Corn Flake Candy

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups corn flakes

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Ingredients:

  • Measure out the corn syrup and sugar into a saucepan. Place the saucepan on the stove.

2. Cook the Syrup:

  • Heat the mixture over medium-high heat, stirring constantly until it starts to bubble. Allow it to boil gently for a minute or two, ensuring the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is well combined.

3. Remove from Heat and Add Peanut Butter:

  • Remove the saucepan from the heat. Carefully add the peanut butter to the hot syrup mixture. Stir continuously until the peanut butter is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

4. Add Corn Flakes Gradually:

  • Gradually add the corn flakes to the peanut butter mixture. Gently fold them in, ensuring the corn flakes are evenly coated with the peanut butter syrup. Take your time to avoid crushing the corn flakes.

5. Form the Candy:

  • Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Make sure to leave some space between each candy so they don’t stick together as they cool.

6. Let the Candy Set:

  • Allow the corn flake candies to sit at room temperature until they are completely cool and firm. This might take about 1-2 hours, depending on the room temperature and humidity.

7. Enjoy:

  • Once the corn flake candies have set, they are ready to be enjoyed! Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.

These delicious corn flake candies are a delightful treat for peanut butter lovers and are perfect for parties, gatherings, or as a sweet snack any time of the day!
