1 lb spaghetti
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Sliced pepperoni, optional
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, green pepper, and mushrooms and cook until the vegetables are softened.
Add the spaghetti sauce, oregano, basil, and garlic powder to the skillet and stir until combined.
Drain the cooked spaghetti and add it to the skillet. Toss until the spaghetti is coated with the sauce.
Spread half of the spaghetti mixture in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
Repeat with the remaining spaghetti mixture and cheese.
If desired, add sliced pepperoni on top of the cheese.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving
