Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- Egg roll wraps
- Provolone sliced cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- A1 sauce (optional)
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef along with the diced green pepper and onion until the beef is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender. Drain any excess fat.
- Season the beef mixture with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, add a splash of A1 sauce for extra flavor. Stir well to combine.
- Lay out the egg roll wraps on a clean, dry surface.
- Place half a slice of provolone cheese onto each egg roll wrap.
- Spoon a portion of the ground beef mixture onto the center of each wrap, directly over the cheese.
- To wrap the egg rolls, fold in the sides of the wrap first, then fold in the top and bottom, creating a tight seal.
- In a deep pan or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place the wrapped egg rolls into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until they are golden brown and crispy, usually about 3-4 minutes. Make sure to stay close and monitor them, as they cook quickly.
- Once cooked, use a slotted spoon to remove the egg rolls from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- Serve the Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls hot, either on their own or with your favorite dipping sauce.
