Slow Cooker Hawaiian Pineapple Chicken

Ingredients:

1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
1 cup crushed pineapple (fresh or canned)
1/2 cup Hawaiian marinade (store-bought or homemade)
Cooked rice, for serving
Optional garnish: sliced green onions, sesame seeds
Instructions:

Prepare the Chicken: Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. If using chicken breasts, you may choose to cut them into smaller, even-sized pieces for faster cooking.

Mix Marinade: In a bowl, combine the crushed pineapple and Hawaiian marinade. Stir well to ensure the flavors are evenly distributed.

Layer in the Slow Cooker: Place the chicken pieces in the bottom of the slow cooker. Pour the pineapple marinade mixture over the chicken, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.

Cooking: Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for approximately 6 hours. Check the chicken periodically to ensure it’s cooking evenly and to prevent it from overcooking.

Shred Chicken: Once the chicken is fully cooked and tender, use two forks to shred it directly in the slow cooker. This will allow the chicken to absorb more flavor from the pineapple marinade.

Serve: Serve the shredded Hawaiian pineapple chicken over cooked rice. You can garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.

Enjoy: Serve hot and enjoy the delicious flavors of Hawaiian-inspired chicken with the sweetness of pineapple and the tanginess of the marinade.

This recipe is perfect for a busy day when you want a flavorful and satisfying meal with minimal effort. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences, and feel free to add extra vegetables like bell peppers or onions for more texture and flavor
