Saucy Oven-Baked Chicken Thighs

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup your favorite sauce (e.g., barbecue, teriyaki, honey mustard)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh herbs (such as rosemary or thyme) for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
    • Season both sides of the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  3. Coat with Sauce:
    • Lightly coat a baking dish with some of the sauce to prevent sticking.
    • Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the baking dish.
  4. Apply More Sauce:
    • Generously brush or pour the remaining sauce over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well-coated.
  5. Bake in the Oven:
    • Bake the chicken uncovered in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
  6. Baste (Optional):
    • If desired, baste the chicken with the cooking juices halfway through the baking time for extra flavor.
  7. Garnish and Serve:
    • Once done, remove the chicken from the oven.
    • Garnish with fresh herbs for added freshness and aroma.
    • Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
