Cheesy Ritz Cracker Chicken Casserole with Cavatappi Pasta


  • 3 cans (10.75 oz each) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 container (16 oz) sour cream
  • 1 bunch scallions, chopped
  • 4 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 2 to 3 sleeves of Ritz Crackers, crushed
  • 12 oz Cavatappi pasta, cooked and drained
  • 2 to 3 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend of your choice)
  • 3/4 stick of butter, melted
  • Black pepper, to taste


  1. Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  2. Cook the Cavatappi pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chopped scallions, shredded chicken, shredded cheese, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Place the cooked and drained Cavatappi pasta in the bottom of a 9×13 casserole dish and a mini 9×6 dish.
  5. Spread the soup and chicken mixture evenly over the pasta in both dishes.
  6. Sprinkle the crushed Ritz Crackers over the top of the casserole.
  7. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the crushed crackers.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
