Easy and cheap pizza quesadilla.
Cook just like you would a normal quesadilla but stuff with pizza toppings instead. For this one I used mozzarella and pepperoni inside. I also sprinkle garlic and basil leave seasonings on top of the butter before I start cooking the tortillas. I dip it in marinara sauce
Ingredients:
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- Marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions:
- Prepare Pizza Quesadilla Fillings:
- Lay out two of the flour tortillas. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over one side of each tortilla.
- Distribute the pepperoni slices over the cheese on one of the tortillas.
- Assemble the Quesadilla:
- Place the other tortilla, cheese side down, on top of the pepperoni layer, creating a quesadilla sandwich.
- Season and Butter the Quesadilla:
- In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder and dried basil leaves. Sprinkle this seasoning mix evenly over the top of the quesadilla.
- Melt the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the quesadilla in the skillet and cook until the bottom tortilla is golden brown and crispy.
- Flip and Cook:
- Carefully flip the quesadilla using a spatula. Cook until the other side is golden brown and the cheese inside is melted.
- Slice and Serve:
- Remove the quesadilla from the skillet and let it cool for a minute or two. Cut the quesadilla into wedges or squares using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter.
- Serve with Marinara Sauce:
- Serve the pizza quesadilla hot with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
This easy and budget-friendly pizza quesadilla recipe captures the flavors of pizza in a delicious, melted, and crispy package. It’s a fantastic snack, lunch, or quick dinner option, especially for pizza lovers on a budget. Enjoy dipping each cheesy bite into the marinara sauce!
